A Short Story Shalom Baptist Church – Camden
Under the leadership of Reverend James E. Fitten, on September 6, 1981 The Shalom Baptist Church was chartered. The church started with Ninety seven {97) members. Services were held at 743 Chestnut Street, Camden, New Jersey at the Omega PSI PHI Fraternity House until a church building could be secured.
The organizing members sought peace and rest in the house of the Lord.
